The angels’ share

the angels' shareI went to see Ken loach’s latest film at the cine club, not knowing what to expect, besides what I had enjoyed in the trailer.

I have to say that this is a refreshing film despite that it shows the misery and hopelessness you can live in certain places ( here, Glasgow ).

The story follows four youngsters that are in a need of a new start, and whisky might just be what they need. Not for drinking…

Here is the pitch as per IMDB :

Narrowly avoiding jail, new dad Robbie vows to turn over a new leaf. A visit to a whisky distillery inspires him and his mates to seek a way out of their hopeless lives.

My grade : 6/10. Worth your time. Special mention to the STRONG Scottish accents 🙂
